Welcome to Maui Scooter Shack (“we,” “us,” “our”). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website (mauiscootershack.com) and your rental of scooters, mopeds, and related services from our shop at 1794 S Kihei Road, Kihei, HI 96753. By using our website or renting from us, you agree to these terms.
1. Rental Eligibility
To rent a 49cc/50cc moped, you must hold a valid driver’s license — no motorcycle endorsement is required. To rent a 250cc scooter, you must hold a valid motorcycle endorsement; these scooters are recommended for experienced riders only. Renters must meet Hawaii’s minimum licensing and age requirements, and we may decline a rental if we believe a rider cannot operate the vehicle safely.
2. What’s Included
Every rental includes a complimentary riding lesson and free parking at our Aloha Open Market location, so you feel confident before you hit the road.
3. Hours & Location
We are open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, located at 1794 S Kihei Road, Kihei, HI 96753, inside the Aloha Open Market Shopping Center on South Kihei Road.
4. Reservations & Pricing
Scooter rentals start from $69/day. Call (808) 866-3488 for current availability and pricing. Reservations are recommended, especially during busy travel periods — reserve online or by phone.
5. Cancellations
If you need to cancel or change a reservation, please contact us as early as possible at (808) 866-3488. Cancellation terms are confirmed at the time of booking.
6. Rider Responsibility, Damage & Liability
You are responsible for the scooter while it is in your care, including any damage, loss, or theft during the rental period. Always follow Hawaii traffic laws, wear a helmet, and never ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Our 49cc/50cc mopeds are for one rider only unless the vehicle is rated for a passenger and the rider holds the appropriate endorsement.
